How do you work with Pass?

“I work for e-Qualitas, an initial teacher training programme, and for us our trainees, who are apprentices, need to have functional skills level two. So we signpost to Pass so that trainees can get their qualifications through you guys.”

Why did you choose Pass over other providers?

“I think for us the provider support I would say is second to none. The provider support team are fantastic, they’re constantly available via email, they’ll offer training, and I think that, for us, enables us to support our trainees a lot better with the programme.”

How was it working with the Pass provider team?

“Brilliant! So for us our trainees, they’re completing an initial teacher training course at the same time as gaining their functional skills, so it can feel overwhelming for them. But actually, the way that Pass have provided training for us means that we can support them. It also means that we know the platform, the provider side of the platform, really well, so that any statistics that we need or how the trainees are doing, it’s really easy to go in to check their progress, to check the level that they’re working at, and make trainees ready for their exam. So it’s been, yeah it’s been great.”

What do your learners like best about the platform?

“I think what works for students is the ability to take the specific modules and to know the areas that they need to develop. So from that initial assessment, they’re given the modules that they need to work on which means that they can see their level increasing. I think that’s also really important – the fact that they can see the progress being made. And we’re very clear that we will make students ready for the exam or mark them as ready when they’re working over 2.5, which is what Pass recommends, so they can see themselves making that progress and they know exactly the modules to work on to make that progress.”
